# 11/24 Market overview

The third proposal to enable the protocol fee switch on Uniswap has been initiated. The first proposal did not move forward, and the second one was shelved due to various legal and governance concerns. This latest attempt was put forth by the Uniswap foundation and founder Hayden Adams, and the community has successfully [passed the temperature check ](https://snapshot.org/#/s:uniswapgovernance.eth/proposal/0x58d854c1f2468db6b67baab026cca1329c7bcaa5bf834146aa7563a5b45ad09f)proposal.

UNI is now at $6.27, up 1.3% in 24h.
