# a16z: Stablecoin trades hit 46 trillion

According to a16z’s newly released “State of Crypto 2025” report, the number of monthly active stablecoin users has reached an estimated $40–$70 million. The report also highlights that developing countries are driving the fastest growth in on-chain activity, with an annual trading volume of around $46 trillion — roughly 20 times that of PayPal and 3 times that of Visa.
