# Federal reserve cuts interest rate by 25bps

Yesterday, the US Federal Reserve announced an interest rate cut of 25bps. Based on CoinGecko market data, BNB has pushed past $990, reaching a new high of $993.13, now at $990.16, up 3.5% in 24h.
