Yesterday, the U.S. Secretary announced that the U.S. would begin ‘aggressively’ revoking visas for Chinese students, especially those studying in critical fields. Concurrently, news also circulated that China and the U.S. have now suspended negotiations, seemingly indicating an escalating trend in U.S.-China conflict.&#x20;

The cryptocurrency market reacted to the news. Based on CoinGecko market data, BTC is now at $105,932, down 2.0% in 24h, and down 4.9% in 7d. ETH is now at $2,609.25, down 3.7% in 24h and 2.6% in 7d.

Notably, the Ethereum L2 sector also experienced a significant decline, with OP and ARB falling by nearly 12% in 24h.
