# 03/10 Market Update: BTC drops below $40,000

According to 10th March data from CoinGecko, Bitcoin experienced a significant drop of 5.3% in the last 24 hours to reach $39,347.24. In addition, ETH also experienced a 4.7% drop in the last 24 hours and is now at $2,593.26.

In general, other DeFi, Layer2, NFT and Metaverse tokens have suffered from different levels of decline, as shown in the table below.
